18U gold releases 2025 fall showcase schedule

Huntington, NY— Team Beast 18U Gold released its fall 2025 showcase schedule on Friday:

Sept. 13-14 Northern Exposure Fall Classic – Meriden, CT

Oct. 4-5 Jersey Outlaws Fall Showcase – Jackson, NJ

Oct. 18-19 New England’s Finest Fall Showcase – Plainville, MA

Oct. 25-26 TNT Last Look Fall Showcase Classic – Quakertown, PA

Key Returners

The 18U Gold roster returns 7 players from its 2024-25 team, including Stony Brook commit and First Team All-State Laney Vomero (2026, SS/2B) - Miller Place, NY.

With the graduation of All-State players Ava Zicchinelli (Miller Place, NY - Molloy University), Emily Lopez  (Miller Place, NY - Farmingdale State College), Izzy Hurst   (Bayport, NY - St. Thomas Aquinas College), Hailey Trapani (Seaford, NY - Wilmington, NY), and All-Division recipients Kate Meyer (Sayville, NY - Adelphi University), Arianna Shellman (Medford, NY - Marywood University), the coaching staff has selected the following players from last year's 16U roster:

Huntington, NY – Newsday announced its annual list of the top 100 Long Island softball players for the 2026 season on Thursday. The list included the following 18U Gold Players: Katie Burke (2026 - East Moriches, NY) 3B The Adelphi University commit batted .609 with five home runs, 37 RBIs and 35 runs and was a Newsday All-Long Island second team selection. Breya Kesler (2027 - Miller Place, NY) LF Kesler hit .324 with a .964 OPS, 27 RBIs, 20 runs and seven extra base-hits. Katherine Krayewski (2028 - Kings Park, NY) SS/2B Krayewski hit .494 with a .561 OBP and a 1.197 OPS. Laney Vomero (2026 – Miller Place, NY) SS The Stony Brook University commit had a 1.275 OPS, 22 RBIs, 19 runs and 12 doubles to earn All-Long Island second-team honors. Erin Wolfe (2026 – Bay Shore, NY) P/UTL The St. Anselm College commit hit .459 with a .527 OBP, .703 OPS and 11 stolen bases. Wolfe struck out 61 batters over 58 innings. Kate Schweitzer (2026 - Commack, NY) P Schweitzer, the Suffolk Large School Pitcher of the Year had 247 strikeouts, a 1.14 ERA, .106 batting average against and picked up 20 wins. She was named to Newsday’s All-Long Island first team. “Congratulations to Katie, Breya, Katherine, Laney, Kate, and Erin ,” said Director of Softball Operations and Player Development Jamie Apicella . "We wish them the best of luck with their prospective seasons.”
