18U premier's rumore commits to hunter college

Huntington, NY - Olivia Rumore, Team Beast 18U Premier/Haborfields High School (Greenlawn, NY) has committed to Division III Hunter College, where she will play for Head Coach, Mike Fisher. The Hawks compete in the competitive CUNY Athletic Conference

Director of Softball Operations and 18U Gold Head Coach, Jamie Apicella commented on Rumore’s commitment announcement:

"Olivia has been an organizational player for Team Beast over the years. Always in our facility working with our trainers committing to the process. Olivia wanted to improve every aspect of her game both on the offensive and defensive side. Blue collar player that has been determined to reach her goals of playing college softball. Olivia's game is speed. Initially she came into organization as a lefty hitter that had great speed. As she evolved as a hitter, she added slapping to her game and that's where she took off on the offensive side. She is consistently putting pressure on opposing defenses. Once on base has the ability to steal bases and go first to third on base hits. Being a lefty hitter and lefty fielder she plays both corner outfield positions for Team Beast as well has the ability to play first base. Olivia is another Team Beast player who excels in the classroom. She has plans to study and pursue a career in the field of psychology.

Congratulations to Olivia and her family on this outstanding accomplishment. We are so proud and happy for you and know you have a bright future ahead of you. We are excited to follow your career at Hunter College"

18U Premier will resume team activities in early January 2026 with winter training.
