18U Gold's frawley commits to Manhattanville university
Huntington, NY - Rachel Frawley, Team Beast 18U Gold/Sayville High School (Sayville, NY) has committed to Division III Manhattanville University, where she will play for veteran Head Coach, Dale Martin. The Valiants' compete in the competitive Skyline Conference.
Director of Softball Operations and 18U Gold Head Coach, Jamie Apicella commented on Frawley’s commitment announcement:
"Rachel also joined Team Beast over a year ago with her goal of taking her talents to the college level. Rachel brought a determination to Team Beast to improve her game and do whatever she needed to do to reach college level. She worked tirelessly on her skills, absorbing everything the coaches were teaching her. Rachel was so determined that she elevated her game to the 18U Gold level pretty quickly. Plays mostly first base for Team Beast but also has experience in the outfield. Rachel is a gap-to-gap hitter that has the power to drive ball out of park. Never gets cheated with her swings and has a great approach at the plate. Enjoys playing the game and is always ready to compete. Goes above and beyond for all the people around her. Versatile athlete that offers a lot to a college lineup. Another one of our Beast players who is very fortunate to play for a very successful high school program. The foundation of her game was developed by Coach Tiffany Rowan at Sayville High School. Understands the level of commitment it takes to be at your very best. Rachel always strives for excellence.
Rachel excels in the classroom. Understands the importance of a solid work ethic that carries over from the classroom to the softball field. Rachel is an excellent student and is still undecided in what she wants to study. She is leaning towards a degree in the social sciences and/or possibly criminal justice at Manhattanville University. 18U Gold will resume team activities in early January 2026 with winter training.
