Daniella roselli named assistant softball coach

Huntington, NY – Daniella Roselli has joined the Team Beast softball staff as an assistant coach, announced by Director of Softball Operations & Player Development Jamie Apicella.

“I am extremely excited that Daniella has joined our Team Beast staff,”, said Apicella. “Daniella has a unique ability to connect with our young players. Her energy and teaching style truly resonates with our players. Her passion and knowledge for the game and her caring personality has made her a perfect fit.”


Roselli (Levittown, NY) began her collegiate career at Adelphi University where she appeared in 37 games, making 31 starts. During her time with the Panthers, she was named to the Northeast Ten All-Conference First Team and All-Rookie Team in 2021. Roselli finished her softball career at Queens College where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Queens College.

“I am extremely excited to join Team Beast,” said Roselli. "Softball has been a passion of mine since the age of seven. I have a close connection to Team Beast with Coach Apicella, whose philosophy and coaching methods have significantly influenced my approach to the game. I am eager to contribute to an organization that reflects my own values of excellence, growth, and sportsmanship. I look forward to working with our athletes and helping them become successful, on and off the field.”

Roselli was a four-year member of the varsity softball team at Division Avenue High School and still holds the school record for home runs (31). She was named to the Class A Second Team All-State Selection in her senior season and All-County selection each year. Roselli was named to the Newsday Top 100 Long Island softball players list three times. During her junior year, she led Long Island in home runs (12).

Roselli is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology at Hofstra University.

Huntington, NY – Newsday announced its annual list of the top 100 Long Island softball players for the 2026 season on Thursday. The list included the following 18U Gold Players: Katie Burke (2026 - East Moriches, NY) 3B The Adelphi University commit batted .609 with five home runs, 37 RBIs and 35 runs and was a Newsday All-Long Island second team selection. Breya Kesler (2027 - Miller Place, NY) LF Kesler hit .324 with a .964 OPS, 27 RBIs, 20 runs and seven extra base-hits. Katherine Krayewski (2028 - Kings Park, NY) SS/2B Krayewski hit .494 with a .561 OBP and a 1.197 OPS. Laney Vomero (2026 – Miller Place, NY) SS The Stony Brook University commit had a 1.275 OPS, 22 RBIs, 19 runs and 12 doubles to earn All-Long Island second-team honors. Erin Wolfe (2026 – Bay Shore, NY) P/UTL The St. Anselm College commit hit .459 with a .527 OBP, .703 OPS and 11 stolen bases. Wolfe struck out 61 batters over 58 innings. Kate Schweitzer (2026 - Commack, NY) P Schweitzer, the Suffolk Large School Pitcher of the Year had 247 strikeouts, a 1.14 ERA, .106 batting average against and picked up 20 wins. She was named to Newsday’s All-Long Island first team. “Congratulations to Katie, Breya, Katherine, Laney, Kate, and Erin ,” said Director of Softball Operations and Player Development Jamie Apicella . "We wish them the best of luck with their prospective seasons.”
